HF Noise Characteristics over Cyprus

چکیده
Due to the long distance propagation characteristics of HF spectrum, noise and interference are significant challenging factors that have be addressed in context system performance. Both aspects exhibit systematic diurnal, seasonal, solar cycle variability result a number corresponding measurement campaigns all over globe, an effort characterise noise. Noise at consists man-made naturally occurring with atmospheric galactic components. An understanding variation terms time, azimuth, filter bandwidth is crucial for specific location, as it can provide background knowledge based on which appropriate values parameters may selected. This paper deals temporal, azimuthal, one-month dataset electric field strength measurements recorded by directional antenna Cyprus.

Evolutionary Prediction of Total Electron Content over Cyprus
Total Electron Content (TEC) is an ionospheric characteristic used to derive the signal delay imposed by the ionosphere on trans-ionospheric links and subsequently overwhelm its negative impact in accurate position determination. In this paper, an Evolutionary Algorithm (EA), and particularly a Genetic Programming (GP) based model is designed. The proposed model is based on the main factors tha...
متن کاملDetermining characteristics of HF communications links using SuperDARN
Space weather effects can strongly influence high-frequency (HF) communications by changing the ionospheric environment through which the radio waves propagate. Since many systems utilize HF communications, the ability to make real-time assessments of propagation conditions is an important part of space weather monitoring systems. In this paper, we present new techniques for measuring high-lati...
متن کاملTraffic Noise: 1/f Characteristics
In this paper, the study of traffic noise is presented from the point of view of 1/f noise. Samples of Traffic Noise are collected from selected locations from busy roads of Aurangabad city in Maharashtra state (India) and data is analyzed. It is observed that in many cases the traffic noise possesses pink noise (1/f noise) prevailing over appreciable range of frequency. The log log plot of noi...
